Drama Digest

The series is derived from Chuwong Chayachinda’s novel “Manee Morana.” “Manee Morana” depicts a cursed piece of jewelry linked to a malicious bone demon. This ring holds potent abilities, compelling those who wear it to carry out vicious deeds. It’s most recent focus is on Phakakaew, an innocent and kind-hearted woman under the guardianship of Khamron.

The Feel-Good Part

The audience liked the OST of the series. The cast did an excellent job throughout the series and made the series bearable.

The Disappointing Factor

The show was just okayish, with quite a few flaws. The show did not have any special CGI effects, or anything predictable. There were also so many things that were constantly repetitive throughout the series. The storyline also needed a lot of work and better direction.

In-Depth Analysis

“Manee’s Vengeance,” or Manee Phayabat, narrates the tale of two half-sisters who originate from separate mothers. Destiny orchestrates their encounter with Pruek, a striking young man deeply approved by both families. When one sister is selected while the other is overlooked, a love tainted by vengeful emotions emerges, culminating in a destructive event that proves hard to mend. A vengeful spirit, once a jealous woman, seeks to torment the reincarnations of her past lover and romantic rival. She blames them for her tragic demise, ignoring the fact that her actions in a earlier life led to her downfall. Meanwhile, the two leads, who had an ill-fated romance in their previous existence, find each other again in this lifetime. The storyline was not really unique or completely new. However, the female actresses cast in the series were brilliant. There was also a lot of toxicity normalized in the series, like obsession and stalking. There were also a few humorous and bickering scenes in the show, which made the drama a bit better.

Star Power

The show had a fantastic cast. New Thitipoom Techa-apaikhun did the role of Phumin, Bua Nalinthip Sakulongumpaii played the role of Phailin, Ben Raviyanun Takerd played the role of Mukda, Chopin Noochintra played the role of Tul, Fon Sananthachat Thanapatpisal played the role of Jarawee, and Big Sarut Vichitrananda played the role of Boon.

Overall Opinion

The show was just okay overall. It could have been a lot better if the production and direction were given more priority. If you like supernatural dramas, this series will entice you.
