Drama Digest

“My Keychain” is a brief Thai BL series centered on a school love story. The main character, a young student, crosses paths with his romantic interest unexpectedly. Their backpack’s key chains unintentionally entangle, inspiring the series’ title. Their friendship deepens as they interact in typical schoolboy ways, fostering a strong bond.

The Feel-Good Part

The drama’s OST caught the eyes of the audience. They also have a music video for the series with the two main leads singing in it. There were a ton of cute, clingy, humorous, and funny moments throughout the series, which was adorable to watch. The cinematography of the show was done perfectly.

The Disappointing Factor

There were quite a few cliché moments in the series. There were also so many illogical scenes that made the drama senseless in many cases. The English subtitles were also rough and hard to understand. The show is not very exciting or interesting. It just goes with the flow. The script needs a lot of improvement in many sectors of the series.

In-Depth Analysis

Tin, a regular student on his way home, has a chance encounter with Na, a student from a different school. Na is fleeing from bullies and collides with Tin while running. As a result of their unexpected meeting, the key chains hanging from their backpacks become intertwined. They plan a future meeting after they manage to untangle their backpacks. The two boys end up picking the wrong bags and leading back home. In their next meeting, Nan accidentally picks up the wrong bag again. This gives them another opportunity to talk and become friends. Even though Tin is a bit unsure initially, Na stays nice and friendly. One day after school, while they’re chatting, Tin almost falls down the stairs because he’s not paying attention. Na tries to help, but they both end up falling down the stairs. Na hurts his leg as a result. Tin is very sad about what happened to Na. He starts being more careful and looking after Na, who is injured. As they hang out more, they begin to like each other. But some of their friends, classmates, and bullies make things difficult for them. The drama then continues with their struggles and how they develop their relationship.

Star Power

The cast was okay and did their roles well. Puen Tinnapop Phimkhet played the role of Tin; Boss Amz played the role of Na. The supporting characters included actors Nam Nao, Nene, and Ek.

Overall Opinion

The drama is okay, and many people may or may not like it. You can try it out to see a lightheaded BL drama.
