Drama Digest

The drama follows the story of main lead Tongrak, who is living a very hard life and has to undergo many struggles. Due to all this, Tongrak ends up agreeing to become a surrogate mother for her biological sister, Praefah, who is unable to conceive due to her health issues. Praefah loves Natee, whom they all believed to be just an ordinary musician but he actually is the heir of the powerful Asavakietikul family, who have many enemies because of which Praefah and Natee are murdered. All this chaos culminates in Tongrak turning into a lonely, jobless, pregnant woman. Now Tongrak wishes to approach the Asavakietikul and inform them about their possible heir or heiress, which she is carrying but Kimhan stops her from doing so. He is a toy designer who conjectures that Praefah and Natee were murdered because the killer is determined to kill the family’s heir. Hence, he prevents Tongrak from revealing about the baby. The two of them form a closer bond over the course of time, and subsequently develop feeling for each other.

The Feel-Good Part

The show’s pinnacle of entertainment will undoubtedly be the outstanding comedy, the magnificent chemistry and the wonderful friendships. The drama has a great comic timing and the humor does not at feels forced or fake. Instead, it all feels very natural plus effortless and will leave the audience holding their hurting stomachs as they laugh their hearts out. In addition to that, the chemistry between the main leads is spot on, that too right from the very beginning. From the first episode itself, you will be smitten by the fire between the characters. Lastly, the friendship between the characters is just beyond words. They are always there supporting and protecting each other as if they are not just friends but rather bound by blood.

The Disappointing Factor

The drama mainly focuses on the pregnancy theme, yet it is extremely disappointing how its depiction isn’t quite realistic. For example, the female lead will hardly be seen visiting the hospital for regular check up. The only times she can be seen going to the hospital is when she gets attacked. Furthermore, if we talk about the plot, definitely it was funny but it does get repetitive eventually. The reoccurrence of same, cliché incidences make the story seem dragged. The drama could have rather been summed up in probably just 12 episodes. Also, the twist in the end is something that might creep out many people who can’t stand incest.

In-Depth Analysis

The show has a great balance of comedy and drama. Like many lakorn, this drama also has great bromance between the main male character and his best friend. But the sisterhood between the female lead and her friends is something which is somewhat new. The bond between the girls is just heartwarming, almost to the extent where it feels as if they are real blood related sisters. Furthermore, apart from little stressful situations here and there, the drama doesn’t have any other major tragic angle other than the ones already mentioned. Therefore, you can relax and enjoy the interesting and funny story. The villain is pretty predictable but still at a few points you might question it.

Star Power

‘Toey Pongsakorn Mettarikanon’ stars in the main role of the main lead Kimhan where as ‘Mint Chalida Vijitvongthong’ stars as female lead Tongrak. They both had spectacular chemistry right from the first episode, itself. ‘Mac Wiranakarn Wattanakun,’ ‘Namcha Sheranut Yusananda,’ ‘Seo Ji Yeon,’ ‘Tanya Tanyares Engtrakul,’ ‘Pat Chatburirak,’ etc. are part of the supporting cast.

Overall Opinion

Overall speaking, the drama will serve as a very entertaining and humorous watch. You will love the comic side of the plot. The story does have few loopholes but the humor covers it all.
