As portrayed in many cultures, exploring one’s sexuality at a young age is considered a taboo and so it comes to their surprise when three high school girls find out that the average age for losing one’s virginity is 17.3 years old. This show revolves around the trio exploring their sexual needs with a good balance of entertainment. Seino Sakura has been sincere and pure her entire life but after only a month of dating a guy she has been asked to get more intimate with him which makes her question her morals, Hara Tsumugi has never liked anyone in her high school and doesn’t like romances but starts having a different perspective towards love when her childhood friend makes a confession to her and Minagwa Yuna is the most experienced among them because of her previous engagements in sexual relationships along with her currently dating a guy who is an office employee.

The Feel-Good Part

Compared to other shows, this one particular gives a lot of exposure related to sex education and how things must be done decently along with adding a good sense of humor. It covers various issues related to sex that make people aware of current circumstances by which many misconceptions about it are cleared. Everything is portrayed in a mature, safe, and comfortable manner which allows the viewers to watch it with their family and friends along with helping in spreading awareness about such sensitive topics.

The Disappointing Factor

Despite having an amazing and binge-worthy story, this show lacks a good amount of music which honestly is required in teen drama shows.

In-Depth Analysis

Considering sex is a delicate topic in a country like Japan, this show has done a marvelous job in bringing about necessary information related to this. It covers various topics related to the LGBTQ community, performing sexual acts for the first time, masturbation, sexual orientation, teen pregnancy, STDs, etc. Along with this, they have also depicted the importance of having good family relations which includes having openness in communication and understanding each other better. The show creates an equilibrium between sex education and entertainment which gives the viewers to gain new perspectives and knowledge related to such topics along with creating a humorous environment. It has a total of 9 episodes and the runtime is on Thursdays 30 minutes.

Star Power

All the three high school girls were played by Nagase Riko, Tanabe Ririka, and Akita Shiori have depicted their characters in an impressive manner which shows the difficulty teenagers also go through during such times. The supporting characters also play their roles well in the show by expressing their teen life.

Overall Opinion 

The show brings out a liberal approach towards the dating and sexual life of teenagers which helps in being more open and sympathetic towards others. It shows different aspects of being a teenager and their lives being complicated. Despite all of that, they are well aware of their strengths and faults that help them mold into a better person by improving themselves.
