
Drama Digest
“You Raise Me Up” is a Rom-Com that revolves around Do Young Shik, who is in his thirties. He is a depressed adult who is facing erectile dysfunction while studying for the civil service exam. He meets his first love, Lee Ru Da, who turns out to be his doctor. Ru Da’s boyfriend Do Ji Hyuk is a narcissist who works in the same building as her as a psychiatrist. He is a good-looking guy from a wealthy family who has a knack for making Ru Da angry. Ru Da decides to help Do Young Shik get back on his feet by helping him get over his low self-esteem.
The Feel-Good Part
This story is realistic and very adult-like. We witness a deeply moving romance between the leads. Despite having only eight episodes, this series is not short or dragged. It is perfect to watch.
The Disappointing Factor
At first, it had too much of explicit details about sexual dysfunction which is unnecessary; but this problem is resolved by the end. The plot is predictable.

It is a witty and risky concept which made the series have a low rating. This series deals with real-life issues. This drama is under-rated due to its daring concept, but despite that, it is very entertaining. This drama is more emotional rather than a comedy. It is a touching story where the leads suffer at first and develop a romance as the story goes on. It is a feel-good story.
Star Power
Yoon Shi Yoon and Ahn Hee Yeon did an excellent job portraying their characters along with other supporting actors.

Overall, it is a touching story with an excellent cast. This concept is a bit bold, which makes it good yet bad. Some people won’t like the explicit details, while some may find it as awareness. It is debatable, but despite that, it is an underrated gem that is definitely worth watching.
