Drama Digest
Tracer 2 is a Korean thriller, action drama which involves a group of people working in the National tax service. Hwang Dong Joo is a chief at division 5, who works hard along with his team member Seo Hae Young and his boss Oh Young. The Drama revolves around this team. This is a story of a man who decided to take revenge against another. Tae Joon is the chief of the regional office who is involved in Dong Joon’s father’s death. Dong Joo was a person who will do anything for money. But an event he encountered changed his life. His only goal became ‘revenge’ against Tae Joon. This drama has thrilling and action scenes along with interesting investigation and mystery elements. Even though the three of them are different characters and have different priorities, they share a strong bond and chemistry. The past relationship between the main characters is revealed in season 2, which increases the curiosity of the viewers. It has a complicated story with evading tax as well as the investigation against corrupt officers. What does Tae Joon want? Will Dong Joo be able to get his revenge?
The Feel-Good Part
Action dramas usually appear to be more serious. But Tracer 2 has an advantage in that it has lots of humour contents. There are twists and thrilling scenes. The bond between the characters is one of the best parts of the drama.
The Disappointing Factor
The story is a bit confusing. It may be difficult to understand the theme at the beginning. There is a small lag in some of the scenes.
In-Depth Analysis
Tracer 2 is a mixture of history, action, friendship, and mystery. The story develops through the main character Dong Joo, and his career at National Tax Service along with his team members. Dong Joo was an accountant before. He was a person who knows his opponent well and traps them in a way, they can’t escape. Seo Hae Young is Dong Joo’s reliable partner, who is smart and has a bright personality. His battle is against In Tae Joon. The drama starts in a scene of an accident, where Dong Joo’s father committed suicide because his image was destroyed by false accusations. Even though Dong Joo had a bad impression of his father, later he started to realise his good side. A ray of hope came from Hae Young, as a person who investigated his father. She informed him about the suspicions regarding the circumstances and the shreds of evidence. Hence he decides to fight for justice. Through a series of events and twists, drama takes the audience to a different thrilling world.
Star Power
Im Si Wan, Go Ah Sung and Park Yong Woo made a blasting appearance as tax officers. Son Hyun Ju did his character very well. The story was presented beautifully. Every scene was made more thrilling by their acting skills.
Overall Opinion
Tracer 2 is an amazing action drama that makes you curious and thrilling. Perfect direction and perfect storyline. It stands different from other dramas, by its unique content and presentation.
