Drama Digest

Noh Rahee is a social media influencer with 100 thousand followers and has her perfect image, but it becomes harder to maintain every day. To preserve her popularity, she makes up an innocent lie that threatens her whole career. Seol Ho Won is a broody yet sweet guy who recently became a track and field star. He also happens to be her childhood friend. This new gain of popularity and fame is what Rahee needs, so she cooks up a lie that gets out of hand. Amid all the chaos, they both fall for each other.

The Feel-Good Part

The storyline and plot are decent enough to entertain. The main characters are played out well by the lead actors. Their chemistry together is also incredible. Even with its shorter running time, the story was able to keep viewers interested. The trope used is a fake relationship, which happens to be one of the favorite storylines in rom-com genres. The story is a well-built miniseries format that also works for the show.

The Disappointing Factor

The storyline and execution had been limiting because of the running time. It needed more detailing and polishing in the series that was missing. The build-up for the secret doesn’t seem that crucial, and it fails to be dramatic. The big reveal also didn’t have that much of an impact. The whole series felt a bit dull because of its technical issues. It did have a fun storyline which they should have executed well. Ho Won’s character was similar to the stereotypical main lead in Korean dramas, his character arc being nothing more than a love interest for Noh Rahee.

In-Depth Analysis

The series showcases a social media influencer Noh Rahee obsessed with maintaining her image and popularity. As her fame seems to decrease, she uses her friend’s popularity to her advantage by starting a fake relationship with him. They pull it off for some time with the help of her friend, Go min Yeong. It does help her influencer career, but she starts to develop real feelings for him, and their secret seems to be in danger of getting revealed. The show talks about how fake social media can be and that the life you see on your screens isn’t always true. The show also has the message that it is okay to be yourself and be inspiring to others on social media.

Star Power

Kim Na Hyun plays the role of Noh Rahee, Kim Ji Woong plays the part of Seol Ho Won, and Choi Yeon Soo portrays Go Min Yeong in this miniseries.

Overall Opinion

It would be a great pass time watch for teen show lovers, and if you like college life-based web series, this can be your pick. The fake dating trope portrayed in this show is quite popular in romantic comedy dramas.
