In 2050, Alice, a temporal agency formed as a gate-way for humans to travel in time. So, people could visit their deceased one and healed their past wounds. Soon, however, a book was discovered, named “The Book of Prophecy”, which predicted the end of time travel. Alice’s agents, Yoon Tae-Yi (Kim Hee-Sun) and Yoo Min Hyuk (Kwak Si-Yang) travelled back in time, to find and save the book from falling into the wrong hands. During the mission, Yoon Tae-Yi found out that she was pregnant, refused to go back. Then, Yoon Tae-Yi disappeared and renamed herself as Park Sun-Young, was murdered later.

Park Jin-Gyeom (Joo Won) is a detective in 2020, who have alexithymia. While investigating a case, he discovers the existence of time travelers and meets Yoon Tae-Yi (Kim Hee-Sun). Watch, drama to know how it proceeds further.

The Feel-Good Part

The drama is quite fascinating, with so many twists. It’s a perfect blend of romance and science-fiction. CGI is also relatively smooth throughout the show. Futuristic technology and action scenes are also good in their own right.

The Disappointing Factor

The complex and gripping storyline can be sporadically confusing. It’s not a classic Korean drama. Who are interested in k-dramas with their usual style; they will find it a bit strange.

In-Depth Analysis

The story includes time travel, various timelines, time travelers, futuristic gadgets, and mysteries of time. There are several romantic moments in the drama. The relationship between Jin-Gyeom and Tae-Yi is one of the highlights of the show. Once you get to the depths of the opening episodes and grasp it thoroughly, it will be a smooth journey throughout the show.

Star Power

All characters play their roles with ease. Joo Won makes his character melancholic and human at the same time. Kim Hee-Sun looks impressive in her dual role.

Overall Opinion

Alice is a great story with a science-fiction concept; those who like thought-provoking dramas will love Alice.
