Drama Digest

The drama is based on a woman named Sato Yui, a dispatched contract worker at Amagi Pharmaceutical Company. When her pet died, she got a great mental shock. One day, when she was drinking in a bar alone and was grieving for her late pet, she suddenly shouted that ‘Develop medicine to bring back someone to life!’ At that time, a man was passing by who told her that there was no such medicine and she should stop shouting and go home. Upon hearing this, Yui got angry as she was already upset, and she trips the man. The next day when she reached the office, she has been informed that CEO was looking for her. She goes to meet the CEO, and there she meets the man from the previous night. She comes to know that he is the CEO of the company she works, and his name is Amagi Kyoichi. She thought Kyoichi would fire her, but instead, he asked her to treat him as a slave. Why does he say that? Watch the drama to know how the story unravels.

The Feel-Good Part

The drama is hilarious. The actors’ comic timing is perfect. The funny moments never felt forced, instead it goes with the flow. Both the lead actors are good in their roles. Hayami Mokomichi as Amagi Kyoichi and Matsui Airi as Sato Yui are perfect for their roles. The characters have their shades. The supporting casts’ acting is also prominent, especially Irie Jingi as Natori So, who is Kyochi’s assistant. The opening theme is beautiful. The background music matches the scenes very well. The show is not draggy; hence people won’t get bored watching this.

The Disappointing Factor

The drama is sometimes far from reality. In this drama, the male lead seems like a stalker at some point in time. In reality, such behavior may be offensive. The chemistry between the main leads is not captivating. Even till the last episode, you can’t feel the spark between them. Besides the opening theme, the other OSTs are not that good. The ending also could have been better.

In-Depth Analysis

The drama is hilarious. Viewers will enjoy each and every moment of this drama. The drama also shows that with the constant help from your close one, you can overcome the pain of losing someone. Here Kyochi helps Yui to overcome the pain of losing her beloved pet dog. This is such a heart-warming moment. The chasing scenes of the CEO to the girl are hilarious, but sometimes it feels creepy. In real life, such stalking should not be done. There is also a hint of the CEO’s past life which is impressive to watch.

Star Power

Both the lead actors are good in their roles. Hayami Mokomichi as Amagi Kyoichi and Matsui Airi as Sato Yui are perfect for their roles. The characters have their shades. The supporting casts’ acting is also prominent, especially Irie Jingi as Natoru So, who is Kyochi’s assistant.
