Drama digest

The ‘Desire Grand Prix’ is a game about protecting the peace of the city from the threat of the mysterious enemy ‘Jamato’. Jamato’s origin and purpose are unknown. Participants transforms into a Kamen Rider and they compete to win the game by defeating enemies and save people. The winner will be awarded with the right to being an ideal world to life as a prize. Only the true hero who will win the competition will be able to realize the world that they have wished for.

The feel-good part

The depiction in the riders was brightly coloured animal themes. The show has not given too much of the game away. The vagueness is one of the biggest strength of the show. The episodes are designed in such a way that audience will not leave the show in middle.

The disappointing factor

The soundtrack was a bit off beat. The editing was annoying at a few points.

In-depth analysis

The drama is known as Kamen Rider. The first Kamen Rider series adopted a Battle Royale format. Characters like Kamen Rider Shirowe compete with his giant polar bear helmet. But from a narrow perspective Geats has drawn inspiration from survival game shows. The show premiere sets out some parameters of the Desire Grand Prix. The intention of the episode one is to be pretentious and volatile. The ending cards revealing the rules of the DGP has given a nice touch.

Star power

The animations were brilliant. The characters were well drafted and beautifully animated.

Overall opinion

It is an interesting show that will not disappoint you. One of the highly recommended dramas.
