Hakoniwa No Lemming is a psychological thriller that exposes various societal issues and problems in recent times. The drama is an anthology of four different stories of different people wrapped up in just six episodes. It shows how the world of SNS affects the life of human beings. Hayato Isomura, who plays the main character Nijisei, first appears as a storyteller. He is a Youtuber. The drama revolves around four main protagonists, Ai Mikami, Amane Okayama, Kenta Suga, and Hayato Isomura himself.
The Feel Good Part
This drama makes people aware of the evils of social media. A generation who wants to live a life perfect for SNS. They trap themselves in the cruel world of social media and lose their lives before even realizing it. The purpose of this drama is to raise awareness among young people. Along with the plot, the show keeps the viewers hooked and thrilled.

The viewers who are not great fans of psychological thrillers may not appreciate the drama.
In-Depth Analysis
The first part of the drama ‘Impure’ depicts the story of two sisters, Mieko and Mayu. Mieko is a gorgeous and popular girl in high school. Everyone adores her a lot. On the other hand, her sister, Mayu, is an unattractive and social outcast whose parents don’t like her. Somehow, Mayu gets viral on social media, which makes Meiko feel jealous of her. She tries some extreme ways to undermine Mayu’s popularity and Mayu, meanwhile, who is excited about her social presence, goes to extremes to get society’s approval. The second part, ‘Lynching Club,’ is the story of Kawamura, an employee at the ward office, and soon getting married. His life turns upside down when his boss tells him that the woman with whom he got into an argument has committed suicide. This incident has gathered all the social attention towards Kawamura. Everyone blames Kawamura for her death, even the Police. Later, when the truth reveals, it is found that a club on the dark web called “Lynching Club” exposed the woman online. She took her life when she couldn’t take all the social media’s hate and attention. The third part of the drama, “Detective S ” is a story about Imai, who, with Kajihara, prepares a report on criminal psychology. They base their information on an idol named Riricchi, who has been the target of days-long stalking. This story demonstrates the negative aspects of social media and the dangers of online stalking. The fourth and final part, “Not Famous,” tells the tale of wannabe YouTuber and live streamer Nijisei. One day, he plans to broadcast a ransom call to a friend’s mother from his hometown. The story is about how some threatening events occur when he waits for the ransom money.
Star Power
The cast did a great job maintaining the mystery and thrill throughout the drama. Ai Mikami, Amane Okayama, Kenta Suga, and Hayato Isomura did complete justice to their roles.
Overall Opinion
It is a short drama with only six episodes. So you can watch it anytime if you are looking for some thrills in your life.
