Tian Bao Fu Yao Lu is a Chinese anime series that aired in 2020 and is alternatively known as Legend of Exorcism. The anime tells the story of Kong Hongjin, a half-demon child, he is assigned three tasks in the human world, so he leaves the Yaojin Palace. He travels to Chang’an in order to battle demons, complete his missions, and while doing so forms a bond with the exorcism squad chief Li Jinglong.
The Feel-Good Part
The major highlight of this anime series is its graphics. The art of anime is surely visually pleasing.
The Disappointing Factor
One of the major disappointing factors of this anime series is its poorly written female characters. All of the female characters are written in a negative light, which might annoy many fans. The initial episodes have a slower pace however, the makers picked on the right pace as the series unfolded.
In-Depth Analysis
Tian Bao Fuyao Lu is adapted from the web novel by Fei Tian Ye Xiang, sharing the same title. The anime explores the genre of BL, but due to censorship, one can hardly find out due to the subtle nature of the genre incorporated in the series. The plotline of the series is not extraordinary and quite average, the execution of the plotline too, falls in a rather average category. Some of the characters are written decently whereas not a single female character added any value to the plotline. There are moments when you will find yourself questioning the motive and weirdness of the illogical actions of the characters. The humor of the series is quite poor and will hardly make some of you laugh. The action sequences fall flat and don’t have any exciting or new element in them. The anime uses 3D art which is probably the only perfect thing about the series. Though the execution of the plotline is poor, the narration did support the series and made it interesting to follow.

The anime series stars voice actors such as Bian Jiang, Chen Jinwan, Ling Fei, and many more. Shen Leping is the director of the anime series.
Overall Opinion
Tian Bao Fuyao Lu is an entertaining anime though, I would suggest you not to expect much as the series hardly manages to be average. I would recommend you watch this series only if you are a fan of 3D art and animation, as the animation was truly out of the world and deserves a watch.
