This Young Man Is a Little Cold is a Chinese drama that aired from August 2021 to September 2021. This Chinese mini-drama is also alternatively known as This Male Lead Is a Little Cold. The plotline tells the story of Li Lulu, a teenage game player. She somehow finds herself inside the game’s world, and turns a villain named, Yin Ersan. She keeps on upgrading to complete the tasks so that to overcome and defeat the demons so as to explore the romantic story of the male protagonist’s feelings.

The drama, The Young Man Is a Little Cold is directed by Zhou Xiao. Though the theme of getting into a game is not entirely new, the drama sure does feel refreshing. The approach of storytelling and narration is well done, which looks pretty entertaining. When the female lead completes various tasks assigned to her while simultaneously overcoming the battles with her inner demons, those scenes are indeed very interesting; kudos to the actor!

The Young Man Is a Little Cold has two fresh faces as its leading cast. Li Lu Lu and Richard Li Fei are two young actors in the Chinese entertainment industry who are relatively new in the domain. Richard Li Fei debuted in the entertainment industry in 2020 as the lead character in the drama, The Crush, while Li Lu Lu played the lead character for the first time in her career in this drama itself. Li Lu Lu plays the female lead role of Yin Shanshan or Yin Ersan, while Richard Li Fei plays the male lead role of Fang Wuyue. Actor Lan Ziqiu is a supporting cast in the drama.

The drama is a fantasy genre drama where the female lead, a teenage game addict, somehow finds herself in a game with a historical backdrop. The first and second season of this series has garnered a total of 1.5 billion views. The plotline is perfect for brewing a rom-com story, and the director didn’t disappoint. Being a short series, with each episode airing for only 3 minutes, it is a perfect watch for all rom-com fans who doesn’t have much time to binge-watch more extended series.
