Drama Digest

It’s a powerful drama with the animation effect being good. It has pleasing vibes. It’s a drama based on a Chinese novel that completely gives fantasy vibes. This drama revolves around an immortal king who is having a hard time controlling & figuring out his power while learning everything in a magic school.

The Feel-Good Part

The plot is interesting in its way, especially for those who haven’t watched Japanese anime, as it is pretty similar to it. Besides that, it’s an entertaining drama and has a strong protagonist. The plot, in the beginning, is interesting as well as the character development. The ending also has quite a good hold over the audience’s attention. The best part of this drama is the animation done by the animator. The plot is also simple, not complicated, which makes it interesting to watch for the audience.

The Disappointing factor

Although the starting of the drama is good as well as captivating, the plot got off track quite easily just after the beginning of 3 – 4 episodes only. Frequent repetition of some stuff can be seen throughout the whole series. The comedy element that the writer intended to put in the story didn’t get executed correctly because the delivery of jokes & humor didn’t get along with the plot at all. Also, the narration isn’t to the point at all. Some things felt exaggerating.

In-Depth Analysis

It’s a drama with a great theme & adaption, but it didn’t pull off that actual origin Japanese anime vibe. Somewhere it locked that grasp over the plot. As for the storyline, it narrates about Wang line who is immortal & has enormous magic power within him. He happens to have gained this realm every two years, but when he turns sixteen, things, as well as his power, is going out of control. This anime talks about how he controls it, how he faces these challenges & death with them.

Star Power

As it’s an anime, there is not much to say but yes, the graphics animation-wise serves right to the audience. The dialogue delivery is excellent and coordinated well with the plot. Narration is also average but could have been better.

Overall Opinion

A great first attempt by the Chinese industry on the anime genre. Although the story is an adaption, it did justice to the plot through the visuals & animation work. The story might lack the potential of being a great anime but the ending covers all those flaws smoothly. So, for sure, it’s a recommended drama for the audience.
