The Feel-Good Part
In this drama, the minor details, if focused precisely, is pleasant to see. The theme of persistence & chasing your dreams is what gives the potential to the plots and the drama to be worth watching by the audience. Maybe not romance, but this drama has some of the most exemplary traits of melodrama. The business-related scenes & the way they are shown in theater is compelling, and honestly, these few things are the one that has held this plot altogether. Also, the progression in characters is great too.
The Disappointing Factor
Firstly, the romance genre isn’t much explored in it. It felt that it ended even before it could start. Sometimes the plot felt to be a bit rushed. Some unexplained scenes were left unanswered till the ending. Also, the ending was blurry. It could have been a better & explainable one.

The Plot is really ambitious & business driven main lead about. Where her willingness & hardship is shown & all the personal as well as professional ups &down, she faces throughout this whole journey. Like for instant Jian Ai’s dad cut his better half with scissors and afterward cut his neck with the equivalent scissor and Jian Ai was a vagrant. afterward, Jian Ai’s difficulty doesn’t end there since she began to get harassed at school too. her auntie offered her for 10,000 yuan to be a lady of the hour of an intellectually impaired man from the open country. She even confronted monetary emergencies in the 1990’s .A great melo-drama, business, family-based drama to watch. As for plot Jane Xiao Ai is a normal girl who in her childhood fled from her hometown to big city Guangzhou where she work hard to achieve certain goal & to make life for herself. The Drama reflects the struggle of achieving something from just pantry girl to working up & becoming CEO takes a lot of efforts. As Jian Ai was not satisfied with her current position and achievements she work hard and after lots of struggle she sets up her own trading company. As the story grows the way her personal life also started taking new turn which makes thing bit messy for her but the way she deals with everything, the way it is portrayed is really adorable & remarkable too. So, her determination is something audience will enjoy for sure.
Star Power
Liu Tao held the whole drama altogether with her acting. The way she acted out the role of a struggling girl was done healthily. Although the male lead character also did a great job in delivering his character on screen, speaking of chemistry between both characters, it was something they lacked as that spark wasn’t there. Overall, it’s an enjoyable melodrama.
Overall Opinion
Considering the family, friendship & melodrama theme, it’s a great choice to recommend. It might not be the best option for a rewatch, but for once, yes, it is worth it. Just don’t go into the drama carrying any high expectations.
