Drama Digest

Ordinary people in the Chinese drama gradually open their hearts, settle difficulties through “conversation,” and finally comprehend and heal each other when confronted with the trivialities, misunderstandings, and conflicts of reality.

The Feel Good Part

The execution of this show has life and soul. Every case emphasises the need of communication in maintaining relationships. It’s a bit chicken-soupy, but the show is honest about it. A quarrel between a mother-in-law and her daughter-in-law isn’t only a problem between the two ladies. I like that the ideas require each individual to think what is more important to them and how they may reach an agreement.

The Disappointing Factor

The tone is gentle. ML may have experienced emotional pain, yet he goes about his business, mediates conflicts, and provokes the girl he wants. When he returns home to his big, dark house, his loneliness intensifies.

In-Depth Analysis

Communication is essential for people to develop bonds. This is a narrative about everyday conflicts that centered around a TV host who serves as a mediator. Simmer Down is a television show with a novel method for resolving disputes. Yang Guang, the show’s host, is excellent at his work, but he has never been willing to get personally engaged, and he has no idea what to do when a crisis comes knocking at his door. Yang Guang has no option but to face his family troubles that he has avoided his entire life when lawyer Liao Wang appears before him on behalf of his mother, who left him 30 years ago to recover their old residence. Meanwhile, Yang Guang’s livelihood is jeopardized by the introduction of a new host. Is he able to find a way out of his predicament?

Star Power

The lovely relationship between Yang Guang and Li Heng Ji is a relationship (and Niu Zhi Ling). When Li Heng Ji is in love, he is so much fun and so goofy. Wang Yao Qing is the actor, and he is a master of comedy. Chen Xiao, and seeing him make those small smiles out of love makes my heart skip a beat.

Overall Opinion

Overall, it’s a solid, well-executed drama with a few lighthearted slice-of-life moments. If you appreciate this style of drama, the first 10 episodes should tell you. It gets better if you do. Although the ending is a little weak, the plot will not let you down.
