Drama digest

Qin Shi is a lawyer who is focused on her career, but she was rushed into a marriage by her parents. Cheng and Hui, the top law firm, were recruiting lawyers specializing in family affairs, and one of the conditions was to get married. Qin Shi’s second brother, Qin Wen Yu, altered her matrimonial status to married without her knowledge and created a fictional husband for her. She was employed by the firm. Her performance earned Lao Jin’s approval, the founder. During a gathering, Lao Jin recommended Qin Shi to be the lawful attorney for the Association of women entrepreneurs. At that time, she realized that she was purportedly married. She decided the situation to Lao Jin, but suddenly, her husband, Yang Hua appeared. His mother forced him to come for a matchmaking session with Qin Shi’s competitor. He allied with Qin Shi to benefit from the situation after feeling resentful over his mother’s actions. They impulsively decided to register their marriage. But their parents sensed something wrong with the case. Qin Shi’s ex joined the law firm. Qin Shi and Yang Hua faced many crises but began to have feelings for each other.

The feel-good part

The visuals, charms, and acting of the characters ideally suited them. The plot was fresh it showed an ambitious workaholic woman. The background story was also amazing. The female lead being a lawyer, tried to reach on top of this supposed man world. The writing was mature, and not cheesy.

The disappointing factor

The way things are not made clear and suddenly, some past friendships or relations are shown. There was unnecessary drama from ep 36. The female lead’s ex and his fiancée were both annoying.

In-depth analysis

The story was intriguing. The throwbacks into how the main characters came to be was special. The leads in this drama were unique. The story was modern and fitted the mood. Yang Mi had more interactions with ex rather than her current boyfriend. This slow-burn drama had great chemistry between the leads. The story begins with a fictitious marriage. It was a good drama, but the plot was predictable. The breakup was essential for Qin Shi to realize her feelings. The ending got a good closure, not only a happy ending in a relationship but also to Qin Shi’s career in the law industry.

Star power

The leads performed well. The male lead’s parents were also amazing and had great chemistry. With the charismatic and charming performances, the cast made the drama loveable.

Overall opinion

The couple looked intimate, and it felt like it was a heavy romance plot. If you are looking for a romantic drama, then this is not for you. A significant part of the plot revolves around the female lead’s career.
