Drama Digest

The show is an adaptation of a manga. It is an anime series that is supposed to be based on a stage play with the same name. It is set in the period of warring states in Hinomoto. There is a famous group called Saikashu. They stay hidden from the rest of the world and live in a deep, deserted forest. Their flag symbol is Yatagarasu. They also use guns to protect themselves and attack evil people. Magoichi is the main character, who soon becomes the leader of this group. However, there is also another guy named Saburo, who is constantly fighting against and struggling to protect his city, Hinomoto, from a European invasion. Destiny brings them together in front of each other, and therefore, they make a pact to fight against the evil and the European invaders.

The Feel-Good Part

The audience liked the cast of the series. They all did a fantastic job in making the series a hit. The show also had excellent voice acting, top-notch humor, emotional family-themed storytelling, and character dynamics.

The Disappointing Factor

The audience was disappointed in a few aspects of the drama. The CGI was horrible and the worst thing in the whole drama. The storyline needed a lot of work as well.

In-Depth Analysis

The series was just okay overall. The script needed to be worked on. The background characters were horrifying and the least fascinating to look at. There weren’t many sound effects that made the series less engaging. However, the characters did great job. The show slowly paves the way for each character, and their story and struggles are portrayed well. The main character seemed like a fool initially, but he ended up having a significant character development. The show mainly explored the theme of management and sense. They showed the importance of power and how it can affect and change a person. They also portrayed how a purpose can influence one’s decision.

Star Power

The cast was outstanding. Taiki Sato played the role of Magoichi, Toshiki Masuda played the role of Oda Saburo, Kentaro Araki played the role of Tsurukubi, Ryuji Sato played the role of Lucio Cortes, Spi played the role of Deku, Takato, and Nagata played the role of Hotarubi.

Overall Opinion

The show was just okay. You can give it a try if you are into action and historical stories.
