Drama Digest
The story is about a group of students going through the ebb and flow of life in their high school. It revolves around Tu Ling, Li An Ran, Ma Tian, Da Li Jiao, Ding Rong Liang, and Luo Shen Xi. Ma Tian and Li An Ran are from an affluent family but transfer to an accustomed high school. Ma Tian gets into a fight with Tu Ling on his first day of school and becomes sworn enemies. But fate has something else planned for them as they end up on the same marathon team of their school. Even if they don’t want to, they have to work together while barely tolerating each other.
The Feel-Good Part
While being a typical high school drama shows the ups and downs of youth. The show not only focuses on the romance aspect, as most of the dramas of this genre show, but it also targets the most important decisions of life and how the friends support each other through all this.
The Disappointing Factor
The dynamic that came after episode 12 was unnecessary. The last four episodes just don’t match the whole drama and it feels like you are watching a different show and it made completely no sense.
In-Depth Analysis
The story starts with Ma Tian and Li An Ran transferring to an ordinary school, and Ma Tian getting into a fight with Tu Ling. In the beginning, the drama felt like a normal high school show with a bunch of kids just fooling around, but as the show goes on, the characters grow on you. The character development of each person in the show is excellent, they all leave a good impression.
Though the show has the comedy aspect, at some points you’ll be baling your eyes out. The show focuses on adult life and not only on the youth facet. The main lead goes through a lot and seems like the loneliest character despite having a lot of friends around. The main couple of this show also had the top tire relationship and they stick with each other through the most difficult circumstances.
Star Power
The star cast is perfect for the show. The acting is great. Everyone was perfect for the role they were given; they all give a strong sense of friendship.
Overall Opinion
The show is worth giving a try. The plot is incredible and the acting is brilliant. It just gets different after the 12th episode. Overall, it is a good, heartwarming, and realistic drama.
