Drama Digest:

Sherlock Holmes looks into the perplexing Jabez Wilson case. The Red Headed League, a company, just made the man an employment offer. He was required to sit in an office and copy out articles from an encyclopedia beginning with the letter A for the princely amount of 4 pounds per week. Although there were many candidates, he had answered an advertisement, and he had no idea why he was chosen as the League’s recipient. Mr. Wilson is unsure of what to believe when his position is abruptly terminated after a few weeks. However, Holmes immediately surmises that the reason he was hired in the first place had less to do with his red hair than it did with the location of his office.

The Feel-Good Part:

The way this story was set up before being disclosed might truly make you want to solve a detective mystery.

The Disappointing Factor:

It gets monotonous at some scenes.

In-Depth Analysis:

The adaptation’s visual quality is carefully crafted with great attention. The outfits are exquisitely fitted, the photography is exceedingly skilled, and the settings and landscape are exquisitely detailed and dramatic. Honestly, the music is outstanding, with themes that are both lovely and spooky. The dialogue is occasionally hilarious but frequently thought-provoking, the tale is well-paced and engaging, and the direction is strong.

Star Power:

The star cast includes Zhao Li Xin as Mao Ding, Bai Qing Lin as Huang Yu and Hou Yong as An Jian. As always the people casted for this series, proved themselves and the acting is great.

Overall Opinion:

The most well-known Holmes tale is possibly this one. The plot moves smoothly and intriguingly as it develops. It begins as a ridiculous case, but as a wider image starts to take shape and something terrible is revealed beneath, it takes a serious turn. With some good touches of suspense and humor, it succeeds in being both a detective mystery and a crime story.
