Drama Digest

The drama is about a famous high school named Wu De High School. It was known for its unbeaten baseball team until it wasn’t. The baseball coach Xu Lei had left Wu De high. It was because of the presence and constant effort of the baseball coach Xu Lei, which made the school reach new heights. But due to unforeseen circumstances he has to leave the school. 20 years has passed, and the baseball team haven’t performed well since then.

The headmaster found out the coach, who now lives in(near) a slum. To convince Xu Lei to rejoin, the headmaster tells him a love story. It works, and the coach is ready to join, but after rejoining, it seems to him, things are not as simple as it was!!

 The Feel-Good Part

The mystery and chemistry are the elements, which this series has portrayed quite nicely. And the way the field of play is enacted is very accurate. The feel and mindset of why one watches the dramas, this one has that.

 The Disappointing Factor

If you are not a big fan of sports or baseball, this may not be the series for you as it revolves mainly around the coach and the team. However, it has a love story that most Chinese drama has.

 In-Depth Analysis

“Oops! the summer” has everything one can ask for sport, drama, romance, and mystery/thrill. Ellen Wu and William Hsieh (as the coach) are in the leading role. The plot is good intriguing yet straightforward. One can even binge-watch it all. One doesn’t need to know Chinese to watch this.

 Star Power

Ellen Wu and William Hsieh have given a good performance, and even the support role characters have given explicit performance. The baseball play looks surreal.

 Overall Opinion

If you’re a typical drama fan who don’t mind sports, then this one is definitely for you.
