The Feel-Good Part:

This is a good slow-burn romance. The plot is soothing and subtle. The chemistry between the leads is heart-warming. Their chemistry fits perfectly with their characters. The determination to win her love, Lian Xin’s character is worth appreciation. On the other hand, the emotions of Xiang Yu make you cry. The OSTs are ear soothing.

Star Power:

The actors did their job very well. Eric Yang, as Xiang Yu, gives his best to his role. His portrayal of Xiang Yu is gentle and responsible. Zhang Xue, as Lian Xin, also did a good job. Her character transition is portrayed well here. The little girl who plays the role of little Lian Xin is magnificent. Despite her age, she is able to pull her emotion beautifully.

The Disappointing Factor:

One of the disappointing factors of this drama is its length. Based on the plot, forty episodes are not required. Hence people might get bored towards the end. This is a slow-burn romance, but the pace of drama could have been better. The presence of many characters sometimes makes you dizzy. The plot sometimes gets boring. The leads should have been given more screen time. Some side characters are annoying.

In-Depth Analysis:

This drama should also call as a healing drama. Xiang Yu and Lian Xin’s friendship since childhood melts the viewer’s heart. His silent guidance to Lian Xin is portrayed well here. This drama shows that we don’t need to stay with each other to show our care for them. The story tells a tale of silent gratitude. The relationship transition between Lian Xin and Xiang Yu is a bonus factor. In childhood, their bond and when Lian Xin becomes a young lady, the dimension is portrayed well here. Lian Xin’s youthful mind determination to fight for her love towards Xiang Yu and Xiang Yu’s hesitation to reciprocate her love create mixed feelings in the viewer’s heart. They can feel how the characters are feeling. Their hurt emotion makes people sympathize with them. In the later part, Xiang Yu’s determination to help Lian Xin, who is a victim of Alzheimer’s, makes people’s hearts warm. Their scenes will heal you.

Overall Opinion:

This is a subtle romance with a slow pace. If the number of episodes and unnecessary characters are lesser, then it could have been better, but people can give it a try. Those who enjoy subtle romance should watch it, and those who don’t may try it once. It is suitable for one time watch.
