Drama Digest

In an accidental encounter, Liu Ying, a young maidservant, saves a snake on the young mistress’s behalf. The snake, however, turns out to be Yuchu Longyan, a dragon who has been around for a thousand years and wishes to wed her to return her compassion. The two’s lives then become intertwined due to their love, which spans three lifetimes.

The Feel-Good Part

The plot development is excellent since you can keep reading till the final episode. You’ll adore viewing it for the entire duration. In contrast to every western love comedy, this one is very novel. You will fall in love slowly and elegantly. You’ll giggle while watching this drama and be amazed by the characters. You would like this drama if you have previously watched Ashes of Love. The plot is quite lovely.

The Disappointing Factor

After everything they had to go through, the main couple’s ending felt a little anticlimactic. This was the only thing that was very disappointing. Except for too many pointless flashbacks and the rushed-looking finale, the entire series was practically flawless. They could have produced more filling information and less pointless flashbacks.

In-Depth Analysis

A young maidservant and the dragon king make a three-lifetime commitment to wait for a loved one. The maidservant of Xia Hou Xue, Liu Ying, unintentionally comes into contact with a snake. Without realizing it, Liu Ying saves the snake, which is Yuchi Longyan, a 1,000 year-old dragon. Yuchi Longyan offers to marry Liu Ying in order to pay off her debt, but there is miscommunication as a result. A wolf demon is encountered by Xia Hou Xue. Yuchu Longyan swears to save Xia Xue Hou and to keep her safe for three lifetimes to grant Liu Ying’s wishes, all the while remaining silently by her side. Liu Ying doesn’t learn about Yuchi Long Yan until her fourth incarnation when she is reincarnated as Gu Qing Yan.

Star Power

Outstanding actors and actresses, notably Dylan Wang and Zhu Xudan. The second leads have terrific chemistry and an engaging plot. Their relationship’s growth was convincing, and at just the right time, it touched my heart. Except, a couple of scenes where the second female protagonist had huge, round surprise eyes, I’d say their performance was flawless. The performers truly made the comedy section feel so natural; it’s neither forced nor full of bad jokes that aren’t humorous. And it’s much amusing with their stern expressions.

Overall Opinion

The fight scenes were fun, but I have to add that the BGM might use more expert direction. The appropriate scene’s mood wasn’t established by it. Although many people might have preferred that they ended up physically together, their soul connection was also incredible. You’ll drool at the romance, and you’ll chuckle uncontrollably at the bromance!
