Drama Digest

The drama takes place in 2007, during a massive stock market crash in China. A pharmaceutical company’s workers have filed a claim against the director, Qian Cheng. He didn’t pay the workers for the past months. On the other hand, he was deceived into investing the money in Kerui pharma’s stocks. However, due to the crisis, he eventually lost them. Qian Cheng was enraged by the scenario, so he kidnapped Wang Bolin, the director of Kerui, and demanded his money back. The police arrive, led by Yang Jianqun and Xai Yuan, and save Wang Bolin, but Qian Cheng kills himself. As a result, an inquiry into the economic crimes in China’s stock exchanges began. Who was responsible for the crimes? How did the offenses occur in the first place? How will the Xai Yuan squad catch the culprits if they flee overseas? Watch the drama based on the Chinese government’s actual investigation operation “Hunting Fox.”

The Feel-Good Part

The play provides thought-provoking insights into Chinese criminal economics and legal culture. The methods used to solve the case are intriguing. The makers cleverly crafted the mystery surrounding the illegal operations, plot twists, and turns, making it surprising and exciting.

The Disappointing Factor

The drama is heavily reliant on knowledge of economics and business. There was just one mood in the plot: a criminal investigation. The case is lengthy to dissuade a mass audience from watching the drama. As a result, the extended duration got tedious. Viewers who enjoy slow-paced corruption crime investigations will enjoy this program. The drama may be ethnically and culturally offensive.

In-Depth Analysis

The play has taken on a solemn tone. There was only a smidgeon of love or life drama in it. It contains excellent videography effects and music for the story’s build-up. The series was more realistic. The sets changes to locales in the United States and Europe where the events indeed occurred. The plot was incredibly well-structured. The show is set in China and revolves around illicit activities. The play depicts how extreme people would perpetrate crime to make money. The prospect of making money entices them. As a result, frequently invest in the stock market without thinking which has a significant negative impact. It took up to ten years to catch the culprit and return them to China in this case. It has brought to light the efforts of cops both in the drama and in real life.

Star Power

Wang Kai (Xia Yuan) performed admirably in his part, as he has in previous plays. Liu Yi Jun (Wang Bolin) and Angel Wang (Wu Jiaqi) shine in this real-life adaptation drama. Hu Jun (Yang Jianqun) and Zhang tao ( Hao Xiao Qiang)were the supporting players. Their performances aided the drama’s protagonist, wisely balancing each personality.

Overall Opinion

To summarise, the drama is on a true story of a Chinese economic criminal investigation. The show gives just the right mix of intrigue and intensity for fans of crime thrillers. However, prior knowledge of business and economics is required to comprehend the crimes. The drama is a masterpiece by actor Wang Kai. The show is long, but it’s worth binge-watching.
