Drama Digest

Go Sir, Dr. Man, and Detective Kwok form a crime-solving team that works with their own teams to solve murder cases.

The Feel Good Part

In terms of the murder method & the people involved, they all start off quite intriguing.

The Disappointing Factor

It failed to live up to the name Forensic Heroes. Not only were the cases predictable and easy to solve, but so were the drama’s character arcs. Throughout the whole thing, it was the drama’s predictability that bothered you. There were no surprises beyond the first few of episodes because it was obvious who would end up with whom. Furthermore, as the drama progressed, the screenwriters appeared to have become lazy. The number of criminals suffering from mental illness is simply too high.

In-Depth Analysis

The Forensic Science Division’s Senior Forensic Chemist Ko On, the Forensic Pathology Division’s Senior Forensic Pathologist Man Ka-hei, and the Kowloon West Regional Crime Unit’s Senior Inspector Kwok Fai-wong formed a crime-solving triangle with their expert teams. Hot-blooded reporter Chris Tsui’s childhood regrets were linked to Ko On, Scientific Evidence Officer Shui Wai-ming became a murder suspect after her boyfriend’s treachery, and police elite Ko Ching pursued the truth about her sister’s disappearance. The crime-solving triangle is dedicated to justice and thinks that good always triumphs over evil.

Star Power

Roxanne Tong deserves praise for stepping into the role late after Jacqueline Wong was ousted from the show. Long before it was set to premiere, Forensic Heroes IV received a lot of attention. Because of Jacqueline Wong’s involvement with Andy Hui, they had to replace her with another actress and reshoot her sequences. So, this is a situation that has been on everyone’s mind for a while. Furthermore, this series has always received a positive response from viewers in the past.

Overall Opinion

There is a lot better choice if you enjoy watching TVB crime dramas. So, unless you are a fanatical fan of any of the major cast, save your time and skip Forensic Heroes IV.
