Drama Digest:

Ella and Maurice, her barista boyfriend, are an unpopular pair. Maurice mysteriously vanished from the Golden Night Building one day, and after that, his personality drastically changed—almost as though he had morphed into a different person. In an effort to discover what happened to him, Ella made the decision to venture deep inside the Golden Night Building. Strange things keep happening in the Golden Night Building; an e-racing team escapes into the virtual world to save their teammates; a mother and daughter’s tragic tragedy; true and fake kidnapping stories; and comet particles brought on by Han’s insanity. Ella and Maurice are more in love than ever because they believe they were predestined by God to be together. But it turns out that Ella is actually in love with someone else, not the real Maurice.

The Feel-Good Part:

Inside the building, strange things keep happening. A mother and daughter’s terrible tale, a kidnapping that seems both real and fake, comet-induced craziness, an esports team breaking into the virtual world to save their teammates, and the tragic tragedy of a mother and daughter are all included. All this maintained the genre of the movie and kept the interest intact.

The Disappointing Factor:

Despite being the most intriguing aspect of the drama, I felt that the primary story didn’t get enough screen time. The beginning of the story was also a touch too quick, with little time spent on explanation or introduction. Maybe because they believed the audience was familiar with the scene and the concept from S1 previously. which I can relate to but maybe not everyone.

In-Depth Analysis:

Ella and Maurice, who have been happily dating for a long time, are at the beginning of the narrative. Even though it wasn’t raining in their city or in Taiwan that day, she is startled to find a wet umbrella in his luggage when he returns from a business trip there. She follows him because she believes he could be cheating on her. Turns out he has been at Twilight Mansion, where she finds him, but he acts strangely and appears to have lost all of his memories at once. Now, both want to learn what caused it. What specifically transpired to him?

Star Power:

The drama’s new cast members are Yu Chiu, Roxanne Tong, Willie Wai, and Kelly Ng. Although audiences have applauded Franchesca’s acting, her usage of brownface has provoked criticism of Hong Kong’s on-screen representation of minorities.

Overall Opinion:

Although the drama may be watched independently, it is undoubtedly tied to season one. Some moments, particularly those involving Lam, the cat, and the major characters, are better understood if viewers have also seen season one.
