Awards are presented every year for the deserving film. South Korea Has produced some of the most brilliant films of all time, and the audience has recognized and appreciated these films. South Korean films have won some of the most prestigious awards for their brilliant films which deserve global attention and rightfully so.
1. A Taxi Driver
This film is based on real-life, revolving around 1980 when a taxi driver became involved in the Gwangju Uprising events. This film was critically acclaimed and did excellent business at the box office. A Taxi Driver went on to collect some very prestigious awards including the 38th Blue Dragon Film Awards. A Taxi Driver was nominated for some of the most popular categories and even was the official entry at the Academy Awards from South Korea for the Best Foreign Language Film.

This South Korean political drama film which got released in 2017 is one of the most critically acclaimed films. The King stars Jo In-sung and Jung Woo-sung in the lead roles. This film has been awarded some of the most prestigious awards including the 53rd Baeksang Arts Awards and 38th Blue Dragon Film Awards.

Space Sweepers is a space Western film that got released in 2021. This film stars Song Joon-ki, Jin Seon-kyu, YooHae-jin, and Kim Tae-ri. This film was awarded prestigious such as the 57th Baeksang Arts Awards, 30th Buil Film Awards among many other awards.

The Throne is a historical drama film that released in 2015. This film is inspired by true events of the Joseon dynasty. The Throne stars Song Kang-ho, Yoo Ah-in, and Moon Geun-young in the lead roles. The Throne was the South Korean film to officially enter for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 88th Academy Awards though it wasn't nominated. The Handmaiden is considered one of the best psychological erotic films of South Korea. The film was well-received by the public despite featuring some of the boldest scenes which are considered taboo in South Korean society. The Wailing is a horror-thriller South Korean film of 2016. This horror thriller has gone on to become one of the best slow-burning horror thrillers which have a sense of unpredictability relating to the next scene for its audience.
