The Feel-Good Part

Mr, Love: Queen’s Choice is the animated remake of the beloved web novel video game that fans have been waiting for. Some of the best parts of the anime is seeing the characters get turned into anime. Aside from the beloved characters, there are also a lot of cute moments throughout the anime that keep the viewers engaged. These scenes are also animated versions of the game screens from the original, which is an extra touch to the anime.

The Disappointing Factor

There is a massive pacing issue that does not get resolved in just 12 episodes. There are a lot of moments that cannot be understood unless you play the game. There are a lot of cheesy and over-the-top scenes that do not add much to the series. While the animated scenes being references from the original game are a plus point, there seems to be a lack of animation quality when it comes to them.

In-Depth Analysis

This anime serves as an add-on to the original game. It is fun for those who have played the game and those who like the series and the franchise. For casual viewers, it may seem a bit generic, and they may miss out on what the show has to offer.

Star Power

Our stars of this anime are our four iconic characters, Haku, Kira, Simon, and Zen. These four men are ripped straight from the web novel game and are the central focus of this game. They are played by Yuuki Ono, Tesuya Kakihara, Hirakawa Daisuke, and Tomokazu Sugita, respectively. Each of them genuinely gives an excellent performance and brings life to their characters.

Overall Opinion

You may not like this show if you have not played the game. But if you are willing to approach it with an open mind, then you may come to find some enjoyment in it.
