Drama digest

The story follows the adventures of a wonderful mother and daughter duo. Cheon Manri is a single mother who owns and runs a beauty salon selling cosmetics. She’s old-styled and out of touch with her daughter’s ambition to become a YouTube celebrity. Go Riah The daughter, alas, had her share of misfortunes. She lost her part-time job after failing many job interviews. Her mother was a saleswoman. She felt embarrassed in front of others because her mother’s work makes her feel humiliated. The two have a habit of picking conflicts. A beauty cream that keeps the skin appearing fresh was sold by a saleswoman one day. Manri and Go RiAh’s souls get switched when they use the product late at night. They grasped one other’s perspectives and problems when they switched sides, enhancing their mother-daughter great bond.

The feel-good part

The drama tells a touching narrative about a mother-daughter relationship. The concept of portraying the hardships of a mother and the pain of a daughter by switching souls is unique and intriguing. It has a beauty fantasy element to it. The characters and plotline were both amusing and heartbreaking at times. Sweet romance, rib-tickling humor, and emotional moments abound in this play. The strongest impression I got from the story was Manri and Go Riah’s profound and loving friendship and chemistry.

The disappointing factor

The plot is generic and packed with comedy and bickering. The plotline was not climactic and impressive, but straightforward. Many times, the play lacked acting ability. The romance plotline lacked a finish, rendering it useless to the plotline. The subplot pieces appeared to save time.

In-depth analysis

‘Youth Again’ is a Korean fantasy mini-series. The story is about a mother and her daughter, who have opposite perspectives. A mother preaches her daughter and a daughter disobeys her mother. The protagonists, on the other hand, had a loving relationship. They cared about other people’s well-being and wanted to see each other happy in their surroundings. They take a stance for one other after swapping souls. Although the drama was brief, it was full of romantic and poignant moments. After the show finished, Manri became a beauty blogger, while Go Ri Ah worked as a beauty saleswoman.

Star power

The primary characters are Lee II Hwa (Cheon Man Ri) and Han Seung Yeon (Go Ri Ah). The main cast has previous drama experience. Relative to her past works, like ‘Reply 1988,’ Lee II Hwa’s work was ordinary. Han Seung Yeon was not flawless, but she did a decent job with the short narrative drama. The supporting cast was attractive and capable of performing.

Overall opinion

The drama is nice to watch since it is lively, witty, and entertaining. It is a bonzer show to watch if you want to see a drama with poignant mother-daughter interactions and quirky arguing. The drama takes on a fantasy element when their soul swapping occurs, and the tale concludes with a more adorable bonding relationship. In general, ‘Youth Again’ is enjoyable to watch.
