Time-travel sounds like a thing of magic, but this show follows a chef who travels back in time. Following being thrown into an unknown time, she decides to make use of the skills she has and continue to live in the new land.
The Feel-Good Part
This show is beautifully crafted. From the scenic beauty and landscapes to the buildings, make-up, and clothes of the characters, it appears to draw reference from the old times. As a result, it transports you to a time you would most definitely would see in historical books and other artifacts described as.
The Disappointing Factor
The series lives up to the expectations and does not disappoint in any manner. It has a stellar cast and the story flows in a nice manner, which makes it worthwhile to watch. And as such, there is nothing disappointing one can find about it.
In-Depth Analysis
Ning Han Xi is a Michelin-starred restaurant’s young and talented chef. She seems to be doing well for herself. One day, she collapses while climbing a tree outside to gather supplies, crossing into a TV series and being transferred to a time that she finds completely foreign to her. He Zi Xiao is the first person she meets. The lord of Taoyuan City, He Zi Xiao, was out hunting in the forest. Zhao Ying Ying, the deputy city lord, plotted a series of plots to assassinate the city lord and the young city lord in order to acquire control of the city. Ning Han Xi and He Zi Xiao worked together to stop the deputy city lord’s plot, and they were successful in preserving the city lord’s post, but the time for separation has arrived. She slowly learns about the times she lives in. In order to make a living for herself, she decides to put the skills she has to proper use and make sure she can somehow survive.
Star Power
The stellar cast lives up to the roles they have been cast for. It makes one wonder whether this drama and the actors were made for each other.
Overall Opinion
The series lives up to the hype and does not let the audience down in any way. It boasts a fantastic cast and a well-paced plot, making it well worth your time to watch.
