TV Show Digest

Krahai Lao is a talk show hosted by Tay Tawan. Tay, interviews the celebrity guests who come on the show on various topics, ranging from Shaolin kungfu and health, to religion. This show will surely be exciting for fans of the actors, singers, and influencers who come on as guests. The wit and humor of the host, coupled with the awkward and funny situations the guests find themselves in, make the show an enjoyable watch.

The Feel Good Part

The show’s comic relief is the main selling point, in addition to the variety of celebrities as guests. The script of the show, incorporates the host and the guests, which leads to some good one-liners and jokes that will surely leave a smile on your face. Tay leads the conversation very well and can adapt and improvise as the interviews continue.

The Disappointing Part

While the show may be a fun watch if you’re a fan of the guests who come on the show, it may not be as enjoyable for other viewers. There are many points in each episode that make it seem too scripted. While scripts are not strangers to the TV industry, this show takes scripting to a different level altogether. The natural interactions between the guest and host constitute a good interview. Something we fail to see in the various interviews conducted in the show. The show’s editing is also quite distracting, with constant sound effects and colorful text flashing on the screen. It is reminiscent of the videos during the 2010’s era of Youtube, making it seem very dated. Despite all this, the biggest flaw of this show is that it could check every box of an infomercial. In each episode, new products are advertised across the entire length of the episode. There are times when the way the product is used as a prop during the interview piques one’s interest; however, it isn’t quite so for the remainder of the time.

In-Depth Analysis

The show addresses topics that are more relatable to the general public. The products advertised are an integral part of the show content.

Star Power

Tay Tawan, as the host, is the saving grace of this show. He isn’t too personal with his questions and has a decent sense of humor. In every episode, it is evident that he, along with the guests, is having a great time. He can improvise very well, and it is this awareness that captures the viewer. The guests on this show include stars like Gunsmile Changun, Namtan Tipnaree, Mond Tanutchai, etc. The guests participating in the small activities that Tay makes them do is another selling point of the show.

Overall Opinion

The show does show some positive notes; however, the negative points outweigh them. The unapologetic advertising of products coupled with the cruel editing of the episodes is the central talking point of the show; making the show a good watch only for those who are fans of the celebrity guests.
