TV Show Digest

Famous K-pop band Stray Kids come together to talk and share exciting things among band members.

The Feel-Good Part

Cute screen freezes, sweet banters between the members and lots of fun fill the show with wholesome moments.

The Disappointing Factor

The theme and goal of these shows, which is to let the idols pose their ordinary selves, are too vivid. It seems as if they are still limited by what they say or do by the off-screen crew. Though the rigidity of K-pop companies of these bands is almost militaristic to the point that it’s not surprising anymore. Yet this devoids them of the essence of their authentic self. Sadly this show portrays the diminishing lessening of self and the brutal reality of these talented artists.

In-Depth Analysis

Star Road begins the year 2020 with Stray Kids. The band appeared earlier on OSEN V Channel in the “Waiting Room Challenge”.

The members engage in hearty conversations about themselves through different games and activities. Shows this provides enough information regarding the members of the fandom. It highlights those sides of the celebrities that they hardly show on stage while performing or in fan meets.

The members begin the show by playing traditional Korean games. Hilarious banter quickly takes up the momentum and sets the show on pace. The band divided into two groups and took turns playing three games. After the games, the penalty section for the losers makes it more interesting. It resulted in cute screen freezes capturing the members in their authentic selves. It is hardly a privilege for them due to the rigorous and contractual career aspects. After this, they took the initiative to make New Year cards for people of their choice.

Meanwhile, the other group of four munched on tasty snacks while playing small games. Alongside such enjoyable moments, they mentioned their upcoming U.S. Tour in 2020 and showed their excitement and respective wishes. Things as mundane as what they miss while on tour abroad and TMI-s become part of their conversations. It reminds the viewers continuously that idols are humans with aspiring dreams, unlike the reality where people often tend to obsess over them. Like regular people, they too read their New Year fortunes and crave chicken feet.

The later part of the show held a thrilling quiz that unravelled several likes, dislikes and other things about the band members. It showed how well the members knew each other. The show ended with a sumptuous feast prepared for them while they talked about everything food and tuned it up with little quizzes.

Star Power

Lee Min Ho aka Lee Know, Lee Yong Bok aka Felix, Bang Christopher aka Bang Chan, Kim Seung Min, Hwang Hyun Jin, Seo Chang Bin, Han Ji Sung and Yang Jeong In aka I.N are the Stray Kids members in the show.

Overall Opinion

If you belong to the Stay fandom and want to enjoy an hour of hearty moments with the members, this will surely cheer you up.
