TV Show Digest

Otoraction is a musical variety program in which performers provide challenges as attractions for the hosts based on musical games with themes of sound and voice. The host Takanori Nishikawa is known as the king of the kingdom of sound and magic, and Meisei Shimofuri plays the follower of this king. Each member present on screen participates in the games against the guest players. As each team faces off, the winners earn an otomedal in each competing attraction. The digital world of dancing and singing awaits its contestant as the winning team receives special rewards. There are different versions of this game as the rules keep changing accordingly.

The Feel-Good Part

The show tried to bring a unique element with new rules and explanations. The show follows musical themes with games and challenges between the contestants. Some comedians also intervene with their gag performances to lighten the mood. The various sounds of daily life also get questioned in this show which was used surprisingly good. The auditory diligence necessary to identify the music or sound and win these quizzes is an exciting and new type of game presented onscreen for many viewers. It has some well-thought-out rules and regulations for these particular challenges. The musical components are sometimes attractive and engaging. Some light-hearted and heart-warming moments encourage viewers to participate with their favourite contestants. The sets and background have funky and quirky vibes that bring out the outlandish themes alive. It is a platform for celebrities to have fun with their rhythmic knowledge and fighting spirits.

The Disappointing Factor

The show might have a decent start, but the lack of proper structure affects the experience. The pacing is slower than expected for a game show, and it feels all over the place. Many things happened that led to messier and more confusing scenarios to keep count. The production quality seemed low, and the cast could have portrayed their roles much better. Sometimes it feels pre-planned and obvious, which gets very frustrating to watch. Many unnecessary distractions could at least have been enjoyable. It also felt the show aimlessly progresses without a proper layout.

In-Depth Analysis

Otoraction is a variety program that integrates music and games with eccentric challenges to win the otomedal. Attraction teams and guest teams are performing the quizzes against each other. Games include sound shot, rhythm touch, melody shuffle, onomatopoeia circuit, magical voice, Pitta singer, bang bang fake, melody ranger, etc. Each game has its steps and rules to perform. After they announce the winner, they receive some exciting gifts.

Star Power

Takanori Nishikawa and Marbled Meisei are the hosts who play different characters in this show. The navigators are Subaru Kimura, Ryota Iwasaki, and Go Jass. Masashi Ehara, Yumetchi, and a Junior high school student are the narrator behind this show.

Overall Opinion

It is a decent try to blend music and game shows with a variety program, but it did not land properly. It might have some goofy light-hearted moments with musical aspects, but it is not a worthy watch for most viewers. The audience can try it out at their own risk.
