This show spiked the interest of the young generation in mystery-solving. Surveys said that the Chinese youth found this show helpful in gaining interest in problem-solving and mystery-solving like a detective. The importance of detective games rose due to the show.

The Disappointing Factor

The downside of the show was that it was surrounded by various controversies. One of these controversies also led the show to get temporarily banned which spoiled its reputation till a certain extent.

The live-action role-playing games have become very popular in recent times among the youth. During this show, each episode depicts a murder mystery. This mystery ought to be solved by the contestants and find out who among them is the murderer. These contestants are famous television personalities who role-play as some characters to solve the mystery. The show has seven seasons overall, and every season has some minor changes from the previous one. The show’s format is about every contestant getting proper information about the suspect, namely their alibi, personality, history, criminal motive, etc, based on which they have to find out the murderer. Every suspect/murderer can conceal the information according to their own needs to escape suspicion. Though the show was extremely popular, it had become a subject of several controversies.
