Movie Digest

The film is an amalgamation of “Wilderness,” in which a member of the airborne unit who killed a girl during the Gwangju Democratization Movement burned himself to death out of remorse, and “Mr. Kant’s Presentation,” the tale of a man who wanders around as a result of torture after serving in the civilian army.

The Feel-Good Part

Making a documentary is a brilliant idea by filmmaker Kim Tae Yeong. The actors did a fantastic job at conveying the emotions.

The Disappointing Factor

It is a emotional documentary. Many audiences does not prefer emotional documentary. Therefore viewers will find it challenging to watch.

In-Depth Analysis

In “Mr. Kant’s Presentation,” he describes how he loses his sister to the martial law army after joining the civilian army in Gwangju. On the day the Justice Priests’ Foundation reveals the truth about the Park Jong-Chul torture Manipulation Case, Kant, a young man who has become a wanderer due to the aftereffect, is carried away by the police and compelled to divulge his identity. Kim Eui-ki (Jo Sun-mook), a soldier who deserted from the military, has been evading capture for six months while agonizing about his weakness, which prevents him from doing any act of will. He works at a pub called “25 Hours” in Gunsan’s base town of “Silver Town,” where uncountable human armies battle the American military daily while he is out and about.

Star Power

The actors and the crew are pretty talented. Every actor in the film delivered impressive performances the entire time. They did a superb job of capturing every emotion.
