Movie Digest
This film is a sequel to the 2017 film “Steel Rain”. Three significant figures of the countries North Korea, South Korea, and the Us were kidnapped and held in a North Korean nuclear submarine during the summit. The peace settlement goes into the drain due to the abduction.
The Feel-Good Part
This story is exciting and well made. The comedy between the three presidents as they get struct together is very entertaining.
The Disappointing Factor
Though it’s a sequel, it has nothing to do with the first Steel Rain movie, and many people find this movie bad compared to Steel Rain. Some might get offended by the portrayal of the US president, which is very bad.
In-Depth Analysis
The United States president Willis Chatman Smoot, the South Korean president Han Kyeon Jae, and North Korean leader Jo Seon Sa gets kidnapped during a summit. They find themselves edging towards the brink of a nuclear war. It is an actual portrayal of the current situation of politics around the world. They made the characters similar to the presidents of these countries. This doesn’t have much action, but the political tensions are well portrayed. This movie shows a basic understanding of the tensions between North and South Korea regarding Japan, China, and the US. It has good comedy despite the tension when the three leaders are struck together. They figuratively tell the actual situation between these countries and the characters of the leaders that are abducted.
Star Power
Jung Do Won, Kwak Do Won, Yoo Yeon Seok, and Angus Mcfadyen presented their characters very well. Their acting was on point.
Overall Opinion
Overall, this is a good movie that keeps you entertained throughout the film. It shows the political situation realistically, and along with this it also has good humor. One can directly watch this movie without watching the first part as they are unrelated. It is worth watching.
