The only way to survive this situation is that someone has to die beside you, which leads the students to stick together. Will Rena and Haruka follow through on their graduation plans by making it out alive? The film is adapted from the mange that goes by the same name.

The Feel-Good Part

The film is extremely fast-paced, which grabs the attention of the viewer quite early on. The film feels a lot like Battle Royale because it engages the viewer. One of the main highlights of the film is the characters. Each character is well-established and unique. Each of them has a place in the film and is recognizable despite the movie spending very little time on each of their backstories. It is easy for the audience to connect with the characters, which creates an immersive viewing experience for the audience. The film is relatively short, which makes it easy to watch as it doesn’t require too much commitment in terms of time.

The Disappointing Factor

The story is pretty cliché and doesn’t stray away from the standard plot points of this genre, which makes it predictable and may make it dull to watch. While the characters are well-established, they are two-dimensional and based on popular tropes, which makes the film seem dull at times. There is no indication of the villain’s motives, which is confusing as this film conflict is its central premise. There are several small scenes that add nothing to the plot and seem unnecessary. This becomes quite a distraction.

In-Depth Analysis

The film is an action-packed death game that is quite entertaining for the most part. Only the overall premise is adapted from the manga, so fans of the source material must keep that in mind to avoid disappointment.

Star Power

All the performances were excellent. The cast delivers their respective characters with nuance, which makes the audience connect with the characters well. The actors playing the side characters deserve appreciation for their ability to remain memorable. Everyone did their best with the material they were provided with.

Overall Opinion

Signal 100 is a great death game film that aims to entertain its audience and does just that. It’s an enjoyable way to spend time as it is fast-paced and action-packed.
