Movie Digest

The movie portrays the aftermath of the 2011 earthquake and tells the story of two victims who were both murdered by the same person. One of the killers was freed from prison and suspected of the murder, but due to the mystery surrounding the case, he isn’t caught. Watch the movie to see if there’s an end to this case or it’s just a loop of never ending suspense.

The Feel-Good Part

The movie’s ending and the mystery it retains throughout make it feel fantastic. As a crime movie, it also brings out the detective components. And how a connection between the natural disasters like tsunami and earthquake has been showed to give the movie a better outlook.

The Disappointing Factor

It feels like any other mediocre movie, with a plot that drags on till the conclusion. It also feels like it’s attempting to strike a balance between social commentary and the mystery narrative’s shortcomings. Another disappointing factor which this movie has is the climatic ending which is one of the important element for a crime movie because these elements only makes the movie of this genre interesting and the lack of these elements make it’s ending a bit unsatisfying.

In-Depth Analysis

Despite the movie’s low budget, it nonetheless has a well-structured storyline. The film’s mystery tone can be noticed throughout, but some of the moments are a little dull owing to the lack of character arc development. Eita’s performance was good in the movie but due to his less screen time his character’s potential have been wasted a bit. The movie is an adaptation from the novel ‘’ Mamorarenakatta Monotachi e ‘’ by Shichiri Nakayama published in January 23, 2018.

Star Power

Takeru Satoh, the movie’s star, has portrayed the sensation of anguish that the movie is about through his exact acting performance. Eita has also given a good performance and have proved and has given to his supporting role character.

Overall Opinion

Overall, the movie is good and has captured the emotion of tragedy and mystery in a unique way, and these elements have elevated the movie’s potential. Some of the sequences of the movie are dragged too much which loses the audience’s interest in the movie at some points and also eliminates that feeling of curiousness of what’s going to happen next which is one of the most important element that director must keep in mind while making a movie of thriller and mystery genre and should balance all the things throughout this movie lacks that but still it will entertain you and is good for one time watching. This movie is best for the people who are fond of the murder and mystery genre and also love the elements of drama with it.
