Movie Digest

Basong is the leader of Southeast Asia’s largest human trafficking organization, a banquet was hosted in his private club for criminal leaders worldwide. Yunzhi, Ruxin, Ruyi, and the female lead Yamei successfully infiltrated the club to complete their taste. Yamei’s intended target was the boss, ‘Basong’, but die a mishappening, she was forced to switch with Yunzhi. Yunzhi was incalculable while carrying out the mission, but Yamei arrived just in time, right before the alarm for the criminal organization went off. Yamei rescued Yunzhi during the melee and in order to conceal her companions’ departure, she detonated the bomb and vanished into the flames.

 The Feel-Good Part

Raquel Xu’s Ya Mei moped the floor with her enemies, and nothing could stop her. It was like a video game, where villains like ‘The Doctor’ and ‘The Master,’ would use a bell to brainwash people.

 The Disappointing Factor

The portrayal of Sleazy girls with guns and vehicles ripped from the 1980s Hong Kong, styled like a 00s music video with old school fight scenes, hampered and butchered, a barely coherent storyline, and an equally weak finale. The editing is choppy and does not really connect, and the acting is dreadful. This is a low-budget production. Miss Agent appears to be a clandestine second unit stunt crew of nobodies attempting to pay homage to Hong Kong’s glory days.

 In-Depth Analysis

The entirety of the film is nothing but an over-the-top, not crazy enough, spy-action movie. Two organizations, ATO and M, fight it out, Ya Mei overpowers all the enemies.  Besides that, all you have is a poor plotline and bad editing.

 Star Power

Raquel Xu has the perfect role as the femme fatale. It may not be as iconic as the HK girl-with-guns movies, but it is still enjoyable to watch.

 Overall Opinion

Overall it is a classic b-grade film with below-average editing, the only thing getting you through the movie might just be the few action scenes here and there.
