What happens to hotel customers when confined for an unforeseen, extended period? The unexpected happens

A luxury hotel is forced to close down after the local health department suspects it to be a nucleus of the novel coronavirus. The management has to isolate its clients and staff for fourteen days. The effect on the clients and hotel staff is hilarious yet poignant simultaneously.

There are many stories consisting of multiple characters unraveling, such as two rival mafia bosses meeting at the hotel are required to be together. They realize that they have a lot in common.

Or another story where a group of male friends wants to have a fun time, but the lockdown makes them understand the more important things in life.

The best part is the hotel manager motivating his staff and clients that they are in it together and should be strong. In comparison, he plans to run away from it.

The movie is about the impact of a forced lockdown on relationships, and their dynamics. But at the center of it, is accepting the new reality created by the pandemic.

The Feel-Good Part

The movie was directed at short notice to support the film industry staff. All the actors acted in it for free.

The visuals are brilliant and the comic timing is on point.

It is wonderful to see a celebrated actor like Jackie Chan in a non-martial arts movie.

The Disappointing Factor

Since the movie was put together in less time, the script is weak. Some of the snippets are not required and seem forced.

In-Depth Analysis

The best part of this movie is it was shot and released to raise funds for the emergency and film industry workers during the novel coronavirus.

Unlike the title, the movie is not about romantic love but the different interpretations of it such as friendship or self-love among others.

When a luxury hotel is alleged to be an epicenter for the coronavirus, the health authority forces it to shut down along with its clients and hotel staff for fourteen days.

The effect on the hotel staff and clients results in funny and touching scenes. It focuses on changing priorities caused by a forced self-reflection.

The movie is all about bonds forged during confinement and its impact.

Star Power

The movie has reputed names such as Jackie Chan, and Jackie Kai, among others. So, it is lovely to watch the cast in it together to support a worthy cause.

Overall Opinion

It is a feel-good and light-hearted movie. Good watch.
