Drama Digest

This Korean drama is a drama featuring nobles. All the characters in this drama come from highly noble families who lack neither financial nor material aspects.  All of them are looking forward to being the hereditary successors of their respective family businesses. As famous as they are, they carry the history of numerous scandals on their backs. This story mainly revolves around its female lead, Han Hye Rul, who is unsatisfied with the post she currently holds. She is in demand of more, and faces obstacles on her way of achieving more.

The Feel-Good Part

The vibe of the drama is edgy, rich and classy. The production value is excellent. Through this drama, the creators have tried to raise a bit of awareness about how the lives of the wealthy in the society actually are.

The Disappointing Factor

Some characters seem over-the-top with their roles. The arguments may seem annoying at many times as it is some rich people fighting for a higher position than they already are in.

In-Depth Analysis

This series portrays the upperclassmen of society. These people probably stand in the 1-10% of the world’s most influential people.  These are the people who are richer than the rich. They are blessed with the lives; most people can only dream of. They are the bosses of most of the things out there and there is nothing that they can’t have. They have millions of people working for them. The entire judicial and administration system is in their hands. But as elite as their lives may appear, they mostly live in the dark. This series portrays the lives of rich people in the true sense because their lives are not what they might seem on the outside. It’s not always gold and diamonds for them. The most crucial thing rich people lack is peace of mind. In this nepotist and corrupted world comes the female protagonist of the drama, Han Hye Rul. She is the granddaughter of one of the most influential lawyers in South Korea. Even though she was born with a silver spoon in her mouth, she is a woman of justice. She does not understand evil ways like corruption and falseness and likes always to represent the truth no matter where she goes. But of course, she has to face some kind of denial in this profession, as her corrupted seniors cannot accept a truthful person. The series depicts the scandals of these influential people who have achieved hereditary succession and handle it differently from each other. Even though Hye Rul is a just person, she is never satisfied with what she has. She is always ambitious and has higher aims than what she has already achieved. This is a story of a few of society’s wealthiest people and how they handle wealth and stardom.

 Star Power

Han Hye Rul was the highlight of the show, because the show itself tried to represent justice through her and her son among the group of elitists. She and her son, Han Kang Baek, definitely stood out from the crowd due to how their characters were portrayed. Her son might in fact, prove to be the chain breaker of their house.

Overall Opinion

Overall, this is a power-packed and elite drama that represents the lives of some influential people. It can act as a thought-changer for society in some way.
