Drama Digest
Ban Ha Ni, a 37-year-old woman who is servile and timid, feels like she has lost her spark. She is miserable and unsuccessful. She holds a temporary position at her work and is fearful of being let go at any moment. Considering her lack of security she does not want to stay single. She lives like that taking off day-to-day, her younger self demands changes. Her being 17-year-old travels from past to meet her current self. She being 17-year-old is bright and optimistic opposite of what she is today.
The Feel-Good Part
Actors were good at expressing themselves. The interaction between the leads was fortunate. The music is powerful in this drama. The osts embezzle the show. The fantasy time travel part was handled pleasingly.
The Disappointing Factor
The attention on the male lead’s aunt company and Anthony’s career served like fillers. The subplot was wrapped up nicely.
In-Depth Analysis
The story revolves around Ha Ni who is totally opposite of her teenage time. She got fired over some misunderstanding. She motivates herself, motivates her past admirer, her friends, her employers, etc. The drama deals with issues that many grown-ups face. The story kept the viewers hooked. They portrayed each character from past to growing up. The chemistry between the leads was not satisfying. This family drama was impactful. The drama failed to explore the reasons why she turned this way. It contains slow-burn romance that was left out. The slice-of-life genre put up with the lead and had some heart-warming stories. The character development was smoothly done. The ending felt lukewarm as it was predictable. Ha Ni’s friend and a co-worker had their stories to explore.
Star Power
Choi Hee was decent but could have been outstanding. Kim Young Kwang did reasonable acting. The others also performed what they were given well. Lee Re, Eum Moon Suk, and others were also wonderful at their work.
Overall Opinion
The drama is good for a one-time watch. It is a simple, warm, and not-so-cheesy drama. It was quite refreshing to watch.
