In the sequel to Arthdal, which unfolds about ten years later, we’re thrown into the aftermath of Ta Gon’s actions from Season 1. Arthdal has managed to suppress the rebellions of the tribes that suffered under Ta Gon’s rule, and under Eun Seom’s guidance, the Agos have succeeded in uniting the 30 clans after a gap of two centuries. Season 2 depicts an impending and unavoidable war looming between Ta Gon’s Kingdom of Arthdal and Eun Seom’s Ago Union. Eun Seom, now in charge of the East, and Tan Ya, stepping into a leadership role for the Wahan clan, lead us through this gripping narrative. All of this takes place approximately eight years after Ta Gon’s ascent to the throne, showcasing the enduring consequences of the past and the brewing conflicts that promise to captivate audiences.

Arthdal Chronicles, often compared to the Korean Game of Thrones, has become one of the top K-dramas thanks to its complex story and outstanding cast performances.
In the first season, we were introduced to the fictional kingdom of Arthdal during the Bronze Age. We followed the journey of Eun Seom, a child believed to bring disaster to Arthdal. This led to numerous challenges as he and his mother sought refuge within the Wahan tribe, a journey that ended with her ultimate sacrifice. As Arthdal expanded, the Wahan tribe faced enslavement, setting Eun Seom on an unavoidable path. In the prequel, we get to know Eun Seom’s twin brother, Saya, raised by Arthdal’s ruler, Ta Gon, and his vengeful wife, Tae Al Ha. She seeks retribution for her father’s death. Ta Gon cleverly posed as Aramun Haesulla, deceiving Arthdal’s people, while Eun Seom worked tirelessly to unite the oppressed tribes. Now, in the second season, we’re eagerly anticipating a showdown: a colossal battle between Ta Gon, driven by ambition, and Eun Seom, motivated by the quest for freedom. It’s a clash of two powerful forces that fans can’t wait to witness.
Star Power
The cast has had a few changes since the previous season. We’ll see Jang Dong Gun as Ta Gon, Lee Joon Gi as Eun Seom, Shin Sae Kyeong as Tan, Kim Ok Bin as Tae Al Ha, Park Hae Joon as Mu, Cha Yong Hak as Gil Seon, and many other actors.
