Drama Digest
Maruya Kosuke is a 29-year employee who works for the sales department at a Beer manufacturing company. He is a good-looking and charming man who often uses his ‘cuteness’ strategy to boost the company’s sales. But when he learns that his most spellbinding feature, i.e. his cuteness has an expiration date, his life takes another turn.
Sanada Izumi is a researcher who recently shifted from research to the sales department. She is diligent and passionate about her work, but her past experience makes her perceive that she is inferior to others.
The Feel-Good Part
This Drama is a blend of various genres- Comedy, drama, and Romance. The good thing about the Series is that it has a good flow and doesn’t feel too rushed. It went with its own pace and made sure to keep the audiences in suspense with every cliffhanger at the end.
The Disappointing Factor
The storyline might feel cliché to some and has a predictable plot – a charming male lead, a reserved and shy female lead, along with a typical romantic office drama. A lack of plot twists is visible, which could potentially make the audience feel bored.
In-Depth Analysis
This show combines Romance, Drama and Comedy all together yet doesn’t overpower each other but rather compliments them. It’s a light-hearted show which gives us some good laughs and a tinge of seriousness in some parts and also delivers excellent dialogues about life.
This Series further showcases how being physically attractive could help in the professional field. It throws light on the pretty privilege and how fitting into the society’s beauty standards could give you an upper hand.
Star Power
Yamada Ryosuke as Maruya Kosuke executed his role pretty well as a charming and handsome young man in his late 20s. Also props to Yoshine Kyoko as Sanada Izumi for portraying herself as a ‘robot woman’ who is sincere and serious about her work ethic but is anti-social.
Overall Opinion
This Series is a light-hearted office romance Drama which will keep you entertained with loads of comical situations.
