Drama Digest

The Junior High School students are entering a whole different world of High School. Might be intimidating for some or scary for others, it is a fun and transformational experience the three main leads are facing. A story taking chances to show the stories and narratives from each Junior High Schooler, how they take this journey, and their way to interpret it. This mini-series is perfect to show the feelings every student faces from their persona and their academic persona, and how they handle it all.

The Feel-Good Part

The explanations of each storyline to the audience are intricate and interesting. The sets and locations where the shooting takes place are lovely and scenic. The apparel and the aesthetics of each character and the music used for the series is well-executed. This show is unbelievably high quality, with the editing done a bit different than the other mini series made like this. Some scenes displayed in the drama bring out more flashbacks and nostalgia to specific characters of the previous episodes of the series. Being a bite-sized show, it is convenient for the audience to watch

The Disappointing Factor

Despite being an interesting show, the drama is not new enough to excite the audience. The story gets confusing and difficult to relate to once it goes into the intricacies of the students involved in the life of the protagonists in more detail. The display of the scene when they join and apply for various schools is shown, with less accuracy. Some parts of the story are over-dramatic and overhyped. Some characters are too controversial. The synergy and companionship between Okuno, Torii and Segawa and the other characters would’ve been the main highlight, but it fell short for it.

In-Depth Analysis

Inspired by the real struggle these young individuals face in real life, this show is heartwarming. The animation and visuals for the show are well made. The acting is applaudable, and the music is well-executed. The characters are adorable with funny dialogues and solid acting. The overall crux of the story is fun and amazing to watch, with the seriousness kept alive in their respective positions. The cast is impressive and attractive. The main lead, Okuno, is impressive and a true “hero” of the show, inspiring the audience.

Star Power

They have showcased real emotions on the stage, which speaks to the audience the most. The audience has perceived this drama as unconventional and different from the rest. The considerable time gap taken between each episode says of improvement in graphics, storyline and aesthetics with every episode. While the other dramas mainly glorify how amazing and “free” junior and high schoolers are, this series doesn’t take that path. It takes instead a lonely way of showcasing the struggle to find something meaningful and innovative to incorporate.

Overall Opinion

Someone who wishes to watch a fun and comical take on life will love the series.
