Drama Digest

Sosuke Hasebe, once a chubby teen, is now a dashing young man who works as the senior editor-in-chief of the fashion magazine “The Most.” He is unpleasant but a cool rationalist who is returning to Japan after 16 years in New York to fulfil a promise he made to a friend. On the other hand, Ai Sato was a lovely honour student. However, she is frequently exploited, and all of the companies for which she worked went bankrupt. She encounters her longtime friend Sosuke while looking for a job in “The Most,” but chooses to keep it a secret.

The Feel Good Part

The sweet story revolves around two childhood loves reuniting in a perplexing setting. It has a very silly tone to it. The acting is mostly responsible for this. We’re not sure if that was on purpose, but everyone in the company was reacting to Sato Ai’s humorous side. Even the major character.

The Disappointing Factor

The final episode is so action-packed and rushed that there isn’t enough time to thoroughly appreciate their thoughts and actions. Colleagues are merely there to help. They are lacking in depth. Only a few of them progress quickly in the final episode.

In-Depth Analysis

Hasebe Sosuke is the senior editor-in-chief of the Japanese version of the international fashion magazine ‘The Most.’ He’s an unfriendly, cold rationalist who’s been sent from New York to finish a mission. He was overweight as a child and was frequently bullied. He wants to reconnect with his first love now that he is a handsome elite. Meanwhile, since her company went bankrupt, Sato Ai is unemployed and living with her best friend. Ai is an active, happy, and honest coworker who was hired as an intern at ‘The Most.’ She was once a stunning honour student, but now she is shy and self-conscious. She meets Sosuke again, but she keeps her true identity hidden.

Star Power

This is one of Nakajima Kento’s best efforts to date; he is flawless in it. The chemistry between Kenty and Fuka is also off the charts (their chemistry really reminds me of Matsujun-Mao Inoue). Sakuma Yui may appear pale at first, but she did an excellent job (especially in ep 8 oh god). The remainder of the ensemble was equally excellent, with Katase Nana as Okajima-san making a lasting impact on me.

Overall Opinion

This drama’s atmosphere and emotions are indescribable. A truly wonderful experience that will make you laugh and cry. One of the best dramas you will ever see. Finally, the plot and production are excellent. A longer drama, such as the K or C versions, would have been draggy or irritating. 10 episodes is just enough for fleshing out characters, keeping the plot moving, and finishing things off beautifully. Watch it since it is easily one of the better versions.
