Drama Digest
The plot revolves around Eripiyo, who is obsessed with a minor member of a not-so-popular group, Maina. She claims that she’d die to see her play at Budoukan.
The Feel-Good Part
The show has a fascinating, humour-filled plot with great art style and terrific music too. We get to see lovely friendships, cute girls, terrific performances, and an overall wholesome show. The character’s obsession with her idol will certainly make you laugh because of how exaggerated she is but her unconditional support is heart-warming to watch. Undoubtedly, it will leave you wanting for more.
The Disappointing Factor
It’s an idol anime, so sometimes it might get iffy. You are surely going to be disheartened at how they rank the members. It’s basically about a girl who is crazy about her favorite idol, so there’s a chance that you might feel that it’s too timid, for instance, Eripiyo has a nose bleed because she gets so excited from the bands specifically Mina perform.
Star Power
Being an anime series, the show does not have a substantial starcast.
In-Depth Analysis
One afternoon, a tall woman is greeted by two young idols handing out fliers and inviting everyone to check out their small concert. As she checks out the idol group, singing and dancing in front of a small crowd, one idol catches her attention and she instantly falls in love with her. Ever since that fateful event, her life changes and she commits her entire being and income to support her favorite idol. This woman is known as “Eripiyo,” and for better or worse, Eripiyo is the only dedicated fan of Cham Jam’s Ichii Maina, the very girl Eripiyo fell in love with.
Overall Opinion
The characters develop an awkwardly sweet idol/fan bond, but it would be nice if it moved past that and flourished into a true friendship. You also get to see a beautiful lovey-dovey relationship between Maki and Yumeri which is cute. I didn’t expect to enjoy it very much because I am very picky and get annoyed with coy acts and the fact that it was an idol anime made me unsure, but it didn’t leave me disappointed. Watching this was an incredible experience.
