Drama Digest
Former attorney Michio Iruma (Yutaka Takenouchi). He is employed as a judge in the Tokyo District Court’s first criminal court also referred to as “Ichikei.” He is a somewhat unique judge. He became a judge due to his heavy involvement in a prior case. Iruma personally examines crime sites to avoid injustice and reveal the truth. He does not have the attitude of a so called rude judge, but, both the attorneys and prosecutors are afraid of him because he is not constrained by responsibilities or prejudices. And also because he has an enquiring mind that thoroughly investigates matters.
Judge Sakama Chizuru, on the other hand, is the polar opposite of Iruma. She is an elite among elites and a graduate of the Faculty of Law at Tokyo University. Because there are so few closed cases, the first criminal court to reform it has moved her there. Chizuru is highly frustrated by Iruma’s approach because she takes great satisfaction in upholding public order by addressing cases precisely and quickly. But when she learns that Iruma regards each case as if it were a person’s life, she is left wondering what else a judge might be able to do.
Other judges, like Chizuru Sakama (Haru Kuroki), agrees that cases should be handled quickly and effectively . Michio Iruma is referred as a troublemaker by the other judges. Michio Iruma’s backstory is gradually exposed as time passes.
The Feel-Good Part
The spectators won’t be disheartened if they anticipate this drama’s more profound message. True freedom necessitates the rule of law, fairness, and a legal system where the denial of rights to some does not secure the rights of others, as was made abundantly evident in Ichikei no Karasu. Additionally, judges should comprehend the law and apply it equitably and justly, not just according to the text of the law. The story gradually develops into an exciting plot over time. Hence, viewers must have patience.
The Disappointing Factor
People may not find the legal-thriller drama all that entertaining to watch because it features numerous trials and investigations. The story gets more and more engaging as it progresses. To fully comprehend this drama, viewers must exercise extreme patience. It is highly conceivable that not everyone will find the ideas discussed in this drama to be interesting and exciting. There are numerous subplots as the story develops. It then becomes intriguing. It is not a problem if you enjoy thrillers or legal thrillers.
In-Depth Analysis
The drama is mainly a legal thriller. It centers on the actions taken by the lead actor to stop injustice and reveal the truth. It displays the ideological differences between the leading actor or protagonist and other judges.
Star Power
The drama- Ichiki Na Kasuro and Iruma Michios wouldn’t have been as successful as they are right now without the help of its wonderful unit, which includes Judge Komazawa Yoshio, Nakamura Baijaku as Chief Secretary Kawazoe Hiroshi; law clerks Ashikura Bunta and Sakurai Yuki; and prosecutors Ide Iori (Ya (Masu Takeshi).
Overall Opinion
It may seem as though Ichiki no Karasu is a dull television show with numerous trials and probes. For average viewers who are not particularly interested in the legal subject, it has a fair amount of comedic and poignant moments. In conclusion, it is an intense drama with a more profound significance that is suitable for all types of viewers.
