Her inability to weep as a result of the pain of having her father desert her as a child has forced her to turn to laughing as a coping technique, which significantly restricts her ability to act. Unbeknownst to her, her father was a mercenary who lost his life in an unspecified conflict. Kujo threatens a movie producer to send her an invitation to an audition for a part in a renowned director’s future movie. Remi succeeds in the initial rounds of the audition despite her condition. One day, Remi experiences harassment by members of the Grim Reapers, an organization of violent adrenaline addicts. A young guy named Ryosuke assists her in escaping, and Kujo offers assistance while donning a Kamen Rider mask to hide his identity. The day before the final audition, Remi becomes upset about her health and fights with Kujo outside the venue where she does her live performances. When Ryosuke shows up, he convinces her to attend his program by saying that he had wanted to. Ryosuke, who goes by the moniker “Heart,” turns out to be the commander of the Grim Reapers. He brings Remi to their lair to meet his brother, “Spade” Naoto, a fan who has been barred from her gigs because of his stalker behavior. At the hideaway, Remi is then bound. Remi was not offered the lead role in the epilogue, but the director has grown fond of her and has given her a big supporting role instead. After recovering from his wounds, Kujo left his position as her manager and now sits with a buddy to watch Remi on television.
