However, the school’s nasty jerk, Shao Tianyang, has a crush on Lin Luoyan and refuses to let any other boy approach Lin. Xin Yue, a free-spirited and rebellious student at a vocational school, stars in this drama. How do you go about it? How does the romance triangle between these two adolescents with opposing viewpoints work? Is it possible for Jiang and Lin to get together? In what way will Jiang’s family react to his relationship? Keep an eye on the trees to learn more.

The Feel-Good Part

The drama depicts the many attitudes of teenagers in high school. The leads in the drama line have a cute appearance and appear to be from heaven. The tale contains heartwarming moments to viewers, such as romance and humor.

The Disappointing Factor

The leads’ characteristics were bland and did not stand out much. It is frustrating when a brilliant mind like Jiang can not stand his personality. Even apologizing to Lin requires practice. There are no romantic scenes between the main characters, only a bashful and awkward moment where Jiang can not speak properly every time he interacts with Lin. The plot was somewhat clumsy.

In-Depth Analysis

The Wood is a Chinese drama about a shy teen’s high school romance. The drama’s theme is the same as the wood head boy’s name implies. The male character had the opportunity to reveal his feelings to a girl in his class. However, he was too modest and a quiet boy. He preferred to avoid relationships and focus on education as his family advised. This scene demonstrates that his personality was too bland to stand out. Although she was attractive, clever, and intelligent, the female protagonist was oblivious. The plot shows the innocence of both leads in romantic situations. The storyline executes poorly. There are other characters in the supporting cast, although they are not as well-developed.

Star Power

The star is not well-known and is still relatively young and inexperienced. The male and female leads are Zhou Chuan Jun (Jiang mufan) and Chen Shu Jun (Lin Luo Yan). They were the most attractive and appealing actors for the drama in terms of appearance, but their actions did not stand out on screen.

Overall Opinion

Overall, the play is a rather dull love story. It can, however, provide you with moments of hilarity, naïve romance, and some unexpected turns. The performance was not particularly memorable, but the visuals were the most appealing aspect of the film. View the drama if you want to see some naive and shy actors in a very aesthetic cast.
